Year 2008 was blessed, busy, bittersweet, bountiful and a time for growth for all of us in the family. It was a year I achieved so much both in my personal and professional life. I felt I matured greatly, for the better and learned that in order to grow as a person I must accept that I cannot have everything I want when I want it. Everything must be in God’s time. It was also a bittersweet time for me, last October my grandmother and cousin died within weeks of each other. A student of mine also died last November, an accident he was so young just in his second year of college. It was one of the reasons I stopped blogging. I may have not shown that I was mourning for their loss for work kept me busy but deep inside I knew that I have to heal inside before I can write again. My experience of death in the family made me realize that my parents, in laws and my aunts and uncles are growing old and I can’t stop it.
